ABOUT THE ALBUM:

"For Today" is the first album release by Burlington based soul/funk project, Michelle Sarah Band. There are deep grooves and melodic runs that marinate with riffing brass and powerhouse gospel-imbued vocals.

Fortified by it’s brassy embellishments and choir of backing vocals, “No Tomorrow” was the groups first single. “It’s a reminder, to appreciate your today! Its an anthem to inspire change, and to provoke action, to live FOR TODAY” Michelle declares, “…and really, that’s the whole vibe in the name of our album."
A refreshing New Orleans style breakdown is highlighted in “My Everything”, and there’s the heavy rockin’ and drunk-with-fun “Let’s Let Love (Light Us On Fire)”. A couple of softer songs are present, “Ain’t No Crime”, the vulnerable vibe of missing home when you’re gone too long, and “This Love”, a groovy ballad of a confident love. The sassy funk that makes their final anthem, “I Will Be Here”, so catchy and a playfulness that turns “Double Wide” from a trailer into a sweet story told between organ swells, is just the beginning of what you can expect to love about the debut album.
